Hope Box is the collective noun of four interactive Art projects initiated by the Dutch artist Rienke Enghardt.
Rienke Enghardt has been traveling with the Hope Box projects to cooperate with artists worldwide. In 2002 she brought the Hope Box to the African continent.
The Virtual Museum of Contemporary African Art follows her footsteps by publishing travel reports, interviews with artists and snapshots. On the provisional programme are South-Africa, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Ghana, Eritrea, Egypt and Morocco.
In 2003 the artistic result will go on a Hope Box tour through Europe, Africa, Oceania, America and Asia.
